Irrigation Systems

In order to maintain your beautiful garden in the peak of condition, it needs to be regularly watered. As our climate has become somewhat erratic we can no longer rely on the rain to do this for us, so we must lend a hand.

Just turning on the hose is not always the best solution. It consumes huge amounts of water, most of which is not actually used by your plants. And how will your garden cope when you are away on holiday?

The automatic irrigation systems we supply & install can solve these problems at a stroke. The water is metered to the precise quantity and location required, and the automatic controller takes care of the timing.

There are two distinct types of system:

One type runs off mains water pressure and, whilst it is more than adequate for flower and shrub borders, it is not suitable for lawn areas.
This type of system has numerous variations of spray heads for narrow beds, broad beds and even individual specimen plants. It is extremely versatile and can be adapted to water a series of window boxes and hanging baskets - but not on the same ‘run’ as floral beds, as the watering times are quite different!

The second main type includes pop-up spray heads, and requires the installation of a pump and a reservoir tank to provide the necessary feed. This system will effectively water both lawns and borders but not at the same time, as each may require quite different amounts of water.
